Julianna blushed, bright red splotches easily appearing on her cheeks at Jasper's taunting. Curious? "No! What? Me, I, er, no, no, of course not!" she babbled in a slight panic before fully realizing he was just teasing her, and she huffed an embarrassed breath. "Give me a break, Jasper, please, or you'll be the death of me." she moaned, hanging her head.
Thankfully, attention was successfully diverted to Sam, though she didn't appreciate the constant twisting of words from Veronique. The girl made everything from nothing. It was a frightening talent. Ears red, she shook her head fiercely. "No, I just want to be a good friend, I want ALL of us to be good friends. Supportive, you know?" she smoothly answered, trying to play off the awkward way the bolder girls made her feel. How did they act so...crazy all the time? She loved it, and them, but she didn't really understand it.
Julianna frowned slightly at Sam's refusal. He was polite, but quite stern. This was his business, and yet she didn't really want to let go of it the way she should. He excused himself and the remaining group exchanged puzzled glances. Now, of course, they were left with a choice. Respect his privacy, like they should, or...
--
Julianna rubbed her sleepy eyes, not sure when Sam would finally leave so they could begin pursuit. Or at least escape their rooms. She'd woken up first, at an annoyingly early hour "To be sure to be awake before he left". She'd woken the other girls up once Sam came out, and shushed their tired mumbling as they rolled from their warm blankets. The four girls were clothed in all black, for no other reason than it gave the feeling of a top-secret mission. Julianna tugged at the end of her beanie anxiously, her hair tickling her cheek. She didn't really know how formal this secret thing was, but Sam was at least dressed neatly. She tried to find a safe balance, nothing noticeably fancy, nor something sloppy.
"He's leaving!" she hissed loudly when the sound of the front door startled her. The girls' door was open just barely, enough to hear but not see much. Didn't want to give themselves away. "Give it a few moments, and then we'll head out." she said, just in case. The others and she had decided that curiosity was too much to resist. They had to know what Sam's secret was. "It's our last chance", was the reasoning one of them had given. Despite her own reservations about being nosy, she had to admit that both the mystery and the excitement of their faux espionage were appealing to her. Nothing to lose, right? She finally decided they should head out into the main room, so they wouldn't lose Sam before they even left campus. The boys were sneaking out of their own room, also clothed in "sneaky" clothes. Rolling her ankles slowly, Julianna raised a brow. "Well? It's time to go, I guess." she finally mumbled, not sure what to say about their devious little plan.

Veronique shrugged at Sam’s refusal, she wasn’t going to pry…not yet anyways. He was acting suspicious but he always acted like that around this time. Meanwhile, Clementine finished her food and was overjoyed that everyone agreed they needed a break even though school barely started. She was not surprised by Sam’s refusal since this happened every year but she figured she’ll get it out of him eventually.
-Time Skip-
As the alarm started ringing obnoxiously like every morning, Veronique pressed snoozed on her phone and went back to sleep. It was the weekend and she didn’t want to lose any bit of her beauty sleep even if she was suppose to wake up for a morning jog. She was sleeping peacefully, minding her own business until Julianna woke her up. Grumbling incoherently, Veronique shooed her away but Clementine was already up and bubbly as ever.
“Come on Vero, you’re ruining the plan!” Clementine whispered though she wasn’t really paying attention to what the plan was when they were discussing it. Veronique was about to kick her cousin away but Julianna shushed them both and bossed them to the shower. Once they were all cleaned and dressed, Veronique sat on her bed feeling quite badass with the black skinny jeans and tucked in dress shirt. It felt like Mission Impossible and she was Tom Cruise except hotter and more feminine of course. Veronique thought it would be super not obvious if she pulled her hair up in a bun and wore her Chloe sunglasses because that’s how spies are in movies.
Clementine on the other hand wore a black sundress, trying for the casual route so she doesn’t look too obvious. Her hair was pulled back into a pony tail and topped of with black baseball cap. She contemplated on wearing a face mask but Veronique’s disgusted face talked her out of it. Gliding on her gucci sunglasses, she too was ready to go.
“Oh my gosh!” Clementine gasped in a hushed voice when Julianna hissed at them. They all huddled near the door and Clementine could feel her heart beat furiously against her chest. “Imagine if he’s visiting his dead lover because she saved him from a car crash and they’ve been childhood friends for years!” she whispered trying to remember scenes of the movie she was watching just a few days ago.
Veronique rolled her eyes at her cousin’s imagination and shook her head. “Lay off the sap, Clem. It’s too early in the morning to give me cavities,” she hushed flinging her arm around Avery’s shoulder. “We’re going drinking if this turns out to be nothing,” she put in one last comment before they met up with the boys in their apparently sneaky clothing. “Come on, let’s go, we’re gonna lose the guy,” she urged them out the front door.

The dinner seemed quite a bit calmer with Sam's refusal to allow them to go with him. In all honesty it wasn't that surprising since Sam always told them no, or hid where he was off to, or well repeated this exact scene basically. Jasper couldn't say he cared all too much though he was at least a little bit curious where the guy would go off to. Especially since he was usually pretty open with his life otherwise. Rhydian on the other hand, was highly curious. Or maybe he just couldn't stand the fact that there was something he didn't know.
--+Time Travel+--
It wasn't hard to Rhydian to rise early since he was usually one of the first up. He slept much less than most people would think, due to his need to study so much. So once he heard Sam awake and begin to get ready, he too was awake. Though he did nothing but lay in bed and pretend to sleep until the other male had for sure left the boys dorm. Once he was gone for sure, Rhydian woke and began to get ready himself. The girls would probably be ready first, he thought, or at least hoped. Unlike them, he and his brother needed to wait for the subject to leave the room. Speaking of his brother, that guy was snoring away. He'd wake him once his shower was done.
Once showered and back in the room, Rhydian had a hell of a time trying to get Jasper out of bed. The elder brother didn't even wake up for classes during the week let alone waking up early on a weekend. A stolen blanket, and semi flipped bed later though he was in the shower while Rhydian dressed. Black was the obvious choice. Black jeans, black converse, a black long sleeve, and black vest. Of course complimented with his hair as neatly placed as ever. Jasper returned, now more awake than before and also dressed. He also wore black, but he kind of did that normally anyway. His outfit choice, was tight fitting black jeans, a black v-neck undershirt, and black boots - unlaced of course. His hair was in it's normal bed head style, since he couldn't be bothered, and he had some 5 'oclock shadow going since he didn't feel like shaving either. Not to mention slipping on a pair of sunglasses, but that was more for his benefit. If he saw an opportunity to sneak in a snooze, he would.
Leaving the room the girls were already waiting. Joining up with them the two brothers arrived in time to hear the whispers of hurrying before they lost them, so they were off. Of course not before Jasper could get in his complaint of "Couldn't he sneak around at like... noon instead." Thankfully, they managed to catch up with Sam, who was much faster than they expected. Though they probably should have expected it since the guy was sneaking off and all. Keeping up with him but remaining unnoticed proved its difficulty at times, considering they were a fairly large group to be running around spying. Thankfully they managed to remain hidden all the while, even with the moments of breath holding and diving behind objects, or pretending to be shadows in the night.

Avery was the last one to wake up in her dorm room. Why was that? She loved her sleep and early mornings did not bode well with her. Made her grumpy and irritated. So not that different then she usually was but probably x10 worse. If that was even possible.
After getting rudely awake she rolled over to get out of bed nearly tripping over things on the ground that she had forgotten to pick up. “Remind me to yell at the person who decided to follow a man so early in the morning. He couldn’t wait till evening to do his top secret mission?” She mumbled quietly rubbing her eyes to try and get her sleep out of them.
What she needed was coffee—buckets of coffee. Sadly that probably wasn’t going to happen considering they wouldn’t have time for something like that.
Not bothering to shower Avery clothed herself all in black much like the rest of her room. Though she wasn’t as fancy, a large black sweater seemed to go down to her mid thighs and a pair of black skiny jeans. After tossling her hair a bit she ungracefully moved to the door to get a good look as to what direction the Sam was going.
Now that she was awake, she was a little more interested in what they planned on doing. Though she wasn’t exactly happy about having to be up—this secret could be worth the pain.
“I wouldn’t put it past it to b honest. Sam is a bit of a romantic…Well a little anyways.” She mumbled towards Clem before looking to Veronique for a moment smirking.
“You bet if this doesn’t go anywhere I’m getting a few more moments of sleep then we should hit the town. Find something interesting to do.” She spoke before seeing the guys peek out of the room. Great, everyone was ready and they could head out and pretend to be sneaky.
As they snuck out and thankfully caught up with Sam they nuck behind him. It sort of reminded her of the Mission Impossible movies only the five of them were really not cut out to be sneaky people. How Sam didn’t notice them was beyond Avery comprehension.

Having left the school compound by foot, Sam felt the cool breeze coming from the city, like a memory returning to him. He had not felt such winds for a week -- he ought to get out more. He had just returned to London just a mere fortnight ago, give and take a few days of travel, but most of the time he was more occupied with his things. But now that he had left the school compound, it reminded him that he ought to come to town with his friends more. After all, they only have this last year left.
His first destination was a florist just off the road, second shop to the corner of the intersection. What could be seen was a lady in her early forties busy arranging the flowers at the doorsteps of her shop. The old-school masonary became the attraction of her flower shop. It had seen some wear, but the concrete of the buildings of the area would remind oneself that London as seen through a rigorous Industrial Age.
"Good morning, Miss June," Sam greeted the florist.
"Oh, why good morning, Sam," the florist replied the greeting with a bright smile on her face. "It's that time of the year again, yeah?" she asked, standing up and facing the slightly pale skin of the teenager.
"Yeah," Sam replied, his face slightly blank of thoughts.
"Wait here, I'll get you the usual," Miss June said as she disappeared into the shop. Meanwhile, Sam stood outside the shop, looking around the selection of flowers there. Stopping at the lavander and tiger lilies, Sam leaned in closer to have at look at them, then proceeded to pick a few stalks of them up, just as Miss June returned with a bouquet of white and red roses. "Oh, adding new selections to it?" she inquired.
"I thought she might like them," Sam said, smiling lightly. "Lavanders and lilies are her favorite, afterall," he said dreamily.
"You can have them," Miss June said, taking the stalks of lavanders and lilies from Sam and wrapping them up in another bouquet. Thanking the kind florist, Sam gave the due amount before leaving, with Miss June calling after him, "send her my greetings as well, will you?"
"Will do!" Sam called back as he walked off towards the cobblestone pavements leading to the west of the city. Left, right, right again, left then straight ahead Sam walked, until the traffic gradually thinned out, even the crowd of people thinned out. It was towards the west that he headed, and of course, he was heading out of town. The scent of roses, lavander and lilies trailed behind him, as the Asian teenager slowly walked up the road past a signpost pointing towards the local cemetery.

It was a miracle that they remained hidden considering Veronique was too busy fixing her hair whenever the wind blew by. Clementine on the other hand was too giddy thinking of crazy scenarios. However, they managed and while they walked a good distance behind him, the group of six was obvious to everyone else but Sam. When he made it to the florist, Veronique frowned.
“Wow, Clemmy might be right for the first time,” Veronique said in a hushed tone. “I think he’s getting flowers for a love one. Boys only get flowers if they did something wrong or for the dead.”
Clementine snickered, feeling proud of her skills. “Told you!”
As they continued following him with more commentaries of their own, Veronique was getting tired and the sun was slowly killing her. They were going left, right, right, and blah she didn’t know where the hell they were going. “It’s like we’re walking in circles,” she sighed fanning herself with her right hand. However, they soon slowed down and she noticed a local cemetery up ahead. She was so focused on following him, she didn’t realize that they were heading out of town now.
“This is getting morbid,” Clementine commented, noticing how weird it is to stalk someone to the cemetery. If they weren’t friends and this was a movie, they’re probably out to kill him and bury him here. She turned to her other groups of friends. “Now what?"

Julianna tugged at the overlong sleeves of her jacket anxiously as the group prowled after Sam, sure that at any moment he would whip around and confront them. The others all grumbled about being tired, but she felt quite awake, invigorated by the mystery.
She wrinkled her nose at the suggestion that he was visiting a lover of some kind. "Why wouldn't he tell us, though?" she asked, sounding vaguely insulted. That seemed so simple and she didn't really understand why he wouldn't confide something like that in them. Still, as he bought flowers for "her", it was becoming a plausible theory. "Do you think there's something suspicious about her? I mean if he's got a secret girlfriend, there's gotta be something strange there..." she wondered aloud, looking around nervously as the buildings began to thin out. They were leaving town? "Where are we going, do you think?" she asked to no one in particular.
The silly mood of super secret spies was fading as a cemetery came into sight. "Oh." Julianna whispered, casting a doubtful look at Avery beside her. Had they maybe gone too far? Clementine said what they were all thinking, and for a few seconds they stood in silence, a flock of black-clothed stalkers, basically. Julianna pulled her coat tighter, feeling a chill, and finally shrugged. "I mean...we sort of wasted a day if we go back now." she said slowly, not sure if everyone was up for going on and seeing this to the end. She didn't...want to, necessarily, but she felt compelled to. She had to know, at least. She couldn't look Sam in the eyes if she was left with this curiosity.
Ultimately, they agreed that they had to see this adventure through, and passed through the little gate of the cemetery. It was quiet, not a very big day for visitors, perhaps. "At least we're dressed appropriately, kind of?" she noted in the wake of a somber silence.
They soon saw Sam again, and decided to stay a safe enough distance from him to hear him and see him, but positioned themselves to look like mourners at the grave of someone named "R. Fields". Julianna wasn't sure if they were far enough away for Sam to not recognize them if he looked hard enough, so she could only hope he didn't try and stare at his fellow mourners.

As the girls were going on randomly about their theories about what Sam could possibly be doing, Rhydian made sure to note random details in his head, while Jasper was busy yawning and attempting to wake up still. Thing continued on that way until they stopped at a flower shop for awhile. Well THEY didn't stop at the flower shop, Sam did. The group stopped a ways away from it that way neither the flower lady nor Sam would notice them. Jasper on the other hand took the opportune moment to chat up a random girl walking by. At least until Rhydian dragged him away and back to concentrating on their mission and NOT blowing their cover.
After their short flower stop Sam was off again, and now they were leaving town. Everyone seemed to get more quiet as they approached a cemetery. Clementine made a remark of how it was kind of morbid and asked what they should do. Julianna mentioned how it would have been a waste if they went back now. Rhydian agreed with both frankly. He didn't particularly like the idea of stalking someone to a graveyard, but they had come this far. Besides if they turned back now, surely someone in the group would burst out asking him about it eventually. Or they would all start acting weird toward Sam because they wanted to know what was going on.
So after a moment, they went in. Julianna tried to break the silence by mentioning that they were dressed appropriately. Rhydian offered a nod at the comment, though Jasper retorted, "Dressed appropriately for what? Stalking someone visiting a dead person?" Following a nudge by Rhydian, Jasper added on, "Anyone recall if his parents are still around?" Obviously Jasper wanted to know who exactly was dead. Rhydian shook his head, "I'm pretty sure they are still alive. Besides even if they weren't they wouldn't be buried here idiot. They'd be in their own country." Jasper nodded, "Ah, right." Silence again came over the group as they waited at R. Fields grave to find something, anything, out.

Avery couldn’t not help but role her eyes at the thought of Sam buying flowers for a loved one. It was just so sweet of him and totally played on his whole character to think that he had an ex lover would probably make any type of girl swoon. Avery wasn’t so sure though. Maybe it was for a sister or something—everyone had secretes right? Though they probably would have heard about a sister from his parents.
Wait were his parents even a live still? Damn she needed to pay more attention to what was going on around her. She had drifted into her own little world as they moved across town in a well organized blob of black. How Sam hadn’t noticed the lot of them was beyond her. Perhaps he just was really into his grief about this girl.
Perhaps it was a boy?
“I am really surprised he hasn’t seen us.” Avery mumbled running a hand threw her hair while looking around the cemetery. The names of people on the graves sent chills up and down her spine. Not the bad kind, cemeteries oddly fascinated her to no end. Death did too—Perhaps she was a little odd.
Bending over Avery brushed off a pile of leaves off the dead mans grave they were lingering over seeing as it seemed to be untouched for a couple of years. They all seemed to be waiting and listening to what Sam was going to say—hopefully they would be able to hear it.

Searching, counting, it had been a year since Sam was last here. The scent of the morning mist still lingered in the cemetery, but it was a scent he was familiar with, having come here for nearly four years. He walked past the tomb of a soldier, a widow, twins, and then finally a single tombstone, with a cross on the top and a weathered, but vaguely shiny pendant remained. Sam was amazed at it, how had the pendant not been stolen after this many years was beyond him, but he was grateful. The pendant was shaped in that of a raven, inlaid with a single orb of amethyst in the center. The amethyst, like the metal around it, had been glazed with a layer of must and dew, but otherwise still shiny, if polished. Setting the flowers down, Sam crouched down and put his bag down as well, taking out a plastic bag which contained a hard-fiber brush, a small flask of milky water and several cloth. He first got busy sweeping the tombstone of leaves, dirt and other things. He then wet the cloth with the liquid and proceeded to wipe the tombstone, as if a ritual of cleaning a person. His hand wiped past the name engraved, which stated: "In loving memory, Karen Stilton D.o.B. 6/6/XXXX D.o.D. 23/7/XXXX May you rest in ever peace" After the lengthy cleaning, Sam was finally done. He then brought out Mr. Tibbers and held it in his hands, lost in thought. "Hey," he began, his words soft and carried an undertone of sadness. "It's been a while, haven't it? Mister Tibbers is here too," he waved the teddy bear's weathered arms at the tombstone. "Missers June send her greetings as well. Maybe she'll come along some day. I've brought you the usuals, and your favorites, white lilies and lavanders. You loved them to bits, even wanting once to actually have a dress of lilies," he recounted, chuckling lightly. Raising his head, Sam took a deep breath and looked around, carrying on with his solo but solemn speech. "I can't tell if you like it here or not. It's quiet, unlike London. You love the parties and the people walking down the street. Heck, you even---" His eyes sharpened as he caught sight of six, highly unusual but incredibly familiar faces. Sam's face was blank, entirely stunned at seeing his friends here. Locking eyes onto them, his face then slowly shaped to that of annoyance. He raised a hand, signalling for them to come over. "What are you all doing here?" Sam was, at the very least, unhappy. "I believe I've told you this is personal?"

During the moment of silence as the group decided to watch over Sam, Veronique's phone suddenly started to vibrate. “Baby I'm preying on you tonight. Hunt you down eat you alive-“ She felt her heart dropped the moment her phone started ringing as she frantically tried to lower the volume and hung up on the call. The ringtone was thankfully quiet enough that Sam didn’t seem to notice anything yet. Quickly turning her phone on silent, Veronique put away her phone and gave her friends a sheepish smile. “He didn’t notice yet,” she whispered apologetically. Clementine rolled her eyes and flicked her cousin on the forehead which caused Veronique to jerk in surprise.
“Seriously, you. Will. Be. The. Death. Of. Me.” Veronique hissed, trying to see the tombstone and forget about the cellphone incident. They were quiet far away but Veronique was proud of her 20/20 vision. Squinting her eyes for a better look, she turned her head to read what was inscribed on the tombstone. “K-Karen Stilton,” she finally finish her words. “Who’s Karen?” Veronique frowned, not remembering anyone with the same name at their school.
"Maybe it was his little sister? He’s carrying a bear. It has to be his younger sister,” Clementine gave her two cents. She couldn’t hear what he was saying and she wanted to pull the group closer but they couldn’t be anymore obvious than they are now. However, either all the whispering or how they stuck out like a sore thumb caused Sam attention to turn on them. "Avery you jinxed us!" As he motioned them closer, Veronique stole quick glances at Avery and Jasper. Her eyes were telling them that they should make a run for it but Clementine pulled her along and there they were…in front of Sam.
“Hi Sam,” Clementine said trying to smile and get away with it. “Lovely breakfast this morning.” She knew her strategic plans to distract him weren’t working when he asked them why they were here. Both the cousins knew there was no way out of this situation.
“We were just curious, you know,” Veronique was at a sudden loss for words and before she could ruin them even more, Clementine elbowed her to shush her up. Veronique was only good at getting out of trouble when it dealt with teachers and students she didn't care about, this was a new territory for her.
“It was a coincidence?” Clementine mindlessly ruffled her hair showing signs of nervousness. She turned to look at the others for help.

Julianna shot a tiny glare at Jasper, who seemed quite on edge. Well, she hardly blamed him. "I mean, all things considered, we could've worn much worse." she remarked, shifting nervously from left to right. This was a bad idea, wasn't it? They shouldn't be here. She had said they had to see it through, and she did feel that, but the entire idea wasn't bright. If they hadn't started this, they wouldn't have had to see it through. Right? That logic was convoluted at best, but her stomach fluttered, nervous butterflies that made her feel even guiltier. She was at this remote graveyard, stalking one of her best friends who explicitly said he /didn't/ want them here, instead of doing the countless things she should be doing. The audition for the Nutcracker was less than a week away, barely, 6 days exactly, and her mother and her teachers and her aunt had all told her she should do a little bit of preparation every day. And yet...she couldn't resist the temptation of answering one of their age old questions.
Julianna gaped at Veronique when her phone began the ring, panic flashing across her face. The noise quieted quickly enough, and furtive glances at Sam showed that he hadn't been distracted by the sound. Karen Stilton, Veronique said. Julianna frowned, mulling over this name. "Doesn't ring any bells to me. But can she really be his younger sister? They don't share a last name, and I don't remember Sam telling us his parents have split up or anything similar." she chewed her lip, trying to recognize the name, but she was sure none of them had mentioned it before.
At Veronique's next words, Julianna flushed at Sam's annoyed face, shuffling over with the rest of the group, face alight with shame. They didn't seem to be in agreement about how to address the situation: lie or admit they followed him? From Sam's hurt words, Julianna very much doubted they could convince him they'd just happened to also visit their good friend R. Fields, the "loving husband and father". Stupid. "I'm so sorry, Sam." she finally said, opting to admit their guilt. "We just...I mean, every year, you...we were worried about you." she finally managed to compose herself and find some words that might soften him. "We're your friends, Sam. We care about you, and you've never told us where you were going, which is your right, I guess, but, well..." she trailed off, eyes dropping to the simple gravestone. It didn't tell her much more, except that she had died several years ago, at the age of 13. Would he tell them, or leave them with just this tiny bit of answer?

As Veronique's phone went off, Jasper had to keep from bursting out in laughter while Rhydian held his breath in a slight panic. They seemed to be ok though as she put her phone to silent and Sam didn't seem to notice them. He had a bear and was talking to the grave. Others in the group seemed to be speculating a younger sister, but Rhydian was on point with Julianna, they didn't have the same last name, and he hardly thought Sam would hide a sister even if she was adopted or some weird situation like that. Besides that name sounded vaguely familiar.
They didn't really have to guess much more though since Sam had finally spotted them. He should they were the only "large" group hovering around a grave. Sheepishly walking over with everyone else, Rhydian had to roll his eyes at how calm Jasper seemed about just being caught. Sam was obviously upset with them. Veronique and Clementine tried to feign coincidence, but Julianna nipped that in the butt with her apology of following Sam. Before Rhydian could offer any words, Jasper stepped in.
"Maybe you aren't the only one with secrets boy-o. Maybe we had a long lost friend... R. Fields... who died and we didn't tell you about it." Jaspers' voice had obvious irritation in it, probably because he was. He knew Sam didn't want to be followed but if he hadn't been keeping secrets from them in the first place they wouldn't have stalked them. Jasper pointed toward the grave, "Tell me, would this Karen girl be proud of you for sneaking around behind your friends back, not wanting to tell us about her?" Rhydian quickly gave a punch to his older brother's arm, a signal for him to shut up. "Have some manners idiot." Rhy rolled his eyes and looked to the grave once again.
Four years ago... Karen Stilton. Seriously, this seemed vaguely familiar somehow. Like he had read that name somewhere before. But he didn't know Sam four years ago, so it couldn't have been from him. Had he known the girl? Run into her somewhere? No... He distinctly remembered reading it. "Her name... She seems familiar." Rhydian shook his head after his statement, no that was silly. He couldn't know the girl. His brother was the one who knew girls.

Don't let yourself be blinded by fear or anger. Everything is only as it is.

Avery looked up from her squatted postion towards Sam as he started to talk to the grave. Now she couldn’t understand everything he was saying but she could lip read pretty well. Perhaps everyone else had better hearing then her. Could be it she did happen to listen to her music a little to loud most of the time.
Shrugging it off she jumped falling onto the cold ground at the sudden loud noise which was Veronquies cellphone ringtone. While it was a catchy song she glared at her for a moment. “If he didn’t notice the large crowd he most certinaly would have heard that!” she said quietly standing to her feet to brush her self off of the dead leaves and dirt from her butt.
Looking up she noticed he hadn’t. wow he must /really/ be in his own little world.
‘Karen Stilton’
Avery mulled over the name for a moment before he heard a familiar unhappy noise from Sam’s direction. Now they were caught he wasn’t the most observes man in the world was he? Probably to overturned by grief of this young 13 year old.
Following the group of shame to the grave she crossed her arms over her chest watching Sam get mad at them and other try to despretely explain why they were even here. She chuckled a bit at Jasper’s comment but didn’t say anything else. She wasn’t really sure how they could get out of this mess they found themselves in—if they could even.
“She sounds familiar to me too.” Avery mumbled to Rhy when he mentioned it. But why was it familiar? Was it on the news or something? She really couldn’t think of a real reason she would know this girl.
But it was on the tip of her tounge.
“We care for you dummy and we worried, so we came.” Avery gave shrugged her shoulders being truthful.

All Sam could do was sigh at all of their words, though Jasper's words sting like a wasp. Somewhere, deep down in him, he had wanted to tell them, but it was a few things of their reactions that he feared, and paranoia had him kept a lid on the topic. His anger vanished in an instance, changing to that of sadness and defeat.
"You guys are just....," Sam just sighed with a weak, defeated smile. "Alright Jasper, you've caught me there," he said, raising his hand in a gesture of surrender, his voice starting to break while Mr Tibbers hung loosely in hia left hand. Rhydian and Avery mentioned about recalling the name but could not put a finger on it, which Sam just said, "the news was four years ago. I had not expected either you, Ave nor Jasp to recall it." As he said that, he reached into his pocket and produced a small folded plastic pouch, and after unfolding it, took out a weathered, slightly crinkled newpaper clipping.
"Here," Sam said, handing the newspaper clipping to the group. "It was on the newspaper and reported on television, a pretty big news back then in London," he said, the sad look on his eyes. "Karen, the girl in question, was killed in a bank robbery incident. A bullet shot through her head," Sam recalled, his hand formed an imitaion of a handgun and pointed to the temple, as if replaying the scene.
"Karen is, or rather was, my girlfriend."
