Welcome to Arlington Academy Students cluttered the halls of the dorm wings with bags in tow, some getting distracted with seeing friends again and catching up instead of heading to their room. The hustle and bustle was an easy sign that Autumn break was through and regular classes were to start up again. Some students had already been back for awhile, those who waited until the last minute were back now. After all this was the last weekend before classes start on Monday. In the west wing, unpacking in their dorm was Rhydian. He hated to have his belongings in a suit case for longer than they had to be, so he had gotten started on unpacking immediately. To be honest he was just about done putting the last few things away. Glancing over at his brother he could only cringe as the older male's suitcase looked like it exploded with clothes thrown all around it as he lazily lay on his bed. "You know if you would unpack now, you wouldn't have to do it later." Rhydian slightly scolded Jasper, knowing well that his brother would still not heed his words. They might have had the same parents, and looked like brothers, but their personalities were so different it was hard to believe they were related at all. Jasper just waved a hand at his brother's suggestion of unpacking now, "Who said I was ever going to unpack? I'm just going to use things as I need them mate. No need to worry." With that the elder gave a grin knowing how much that was going to bug the younger one, who as expected, rolled his eyes. It was good things they were on opposite halves of the room instead of next to each other. If they had been next to each other the mess might have crossed over and then Rhydian would really have a problem. Not that looking at the mess head on was any more pleasant for him. Sitting up from his laying down position Jasper looked toward the door eagerly. "Wonder if anyone else is back at the dorms yet." Though he spoke aloud he wasn't necessarily talking to Rhydian, and even though he said anyone else, he specifically meant Avery. He'd wanna see what art she created over the break. Rhydian shook his head unknowingly, "Thought I saw a few of them around. Could be wrong." Just as the younger brother answered, the elder one was already up and on his way out. He wasn't going to hang around here, especially since he wasn't unpacking anyway. He'd wait in the common room for his friends to emerge. Better than being stuck with his brother who would probably continue to lecture him on cleaning up. If you didn't know them, you'd probably think that the younger brother was Jasper, and the elder was Rhydian. Based on personality alone of course. Jasper was certain he looked older than his clean shaven brother.

Avery was quite lucky to be living in the same city as her snooty public school. It meant she could put off packing and heading to the prison as long as her Grandparents would allow her. And that had been that morning. Course she had been sleeping till the afternoon, when her Grandmothers maid had literally pushed her out of bed to wake her up. The foul language that maid had received had apparently been worth it though because soon Avery had gotten in and out of the shower, gotten dressed and still had time to pack before her Grandmother had come upstairs to give her a lecture for not being ready.
“You really should do something with your look Avery dear.” Her Grandmother said pushing her old fingers through Avery’s short hair that she had just brushed a few moments ago. “Ever think of growing your hair out, you would look simply lovely with long hair. Much like your mothers.” She said with a small smile, this earned Avery a roll of the eyes before shaking her head.
“Short hair is what I got, mam.” The last words coming out cold. Avery hated called her Grandmother Mam, but it was what she was told to call her. And though she loved her Grandparents she hated living there. One more year and she would be out of this godforsaken hell hole.
After having something quickly to eat Avery was pushed and shoved into the car to be driven and hour to the school, her two bags in the trunk while she had a small side bag beside her that she carried her books and sketchbook. Sighing, she leaned against the door window wishing it would all go away. Though she was a little excited to see her friends again to be sure. But not as excited to graduate and get the hell out of there.
Though the art room was going to be exciting to be back too.
“Have a good year dear. Don’t get into any trouble, remember everything counts this year.” Her Grandfather said blowing a puff of smoke from his cigar out into the clean fall air. “Cherrio.” He called waving and driving away. Course, Avery just sighed give one wave before taking her things and heading straight to her room to unpack all her crap.
There was a bustle of kids seeing friends loud obnoxious screams of girls seeing each other from after the break. It all made Avery nauseous to listen to such behavior. They sounded like birds with all that screeching. Once past the lobby and into the dorm building Avery finally reached were she would find some peace and quiet. Just before she could open the door though she got ran into by a tall blonde with a lollipop in her mouth.
“Watch the fuck out.” Avery hissed.
“Oh, well sorry Avery.” The girl rolled her eyes giving the finger before leaving with the pack of girls.
“Hope she chokes on that lollipop of hers.” She hissed walking into the room, paying no attention to the lovely furniture and other crap that would normally impress a lady. Naw, Avery was more thrilled to see Jasper in the common room than anything else.
“Look what the cat dragged in.” She said raising an eyebrow and subconsciously looking around too see if his brother was there. Why? The guy made her a little nervous. Not that anyone really knew that. “You been here long?” she asked placing her things on the couch lazily, she’d pack later once she was done talking.

"Here we are, pumpkin. You ready for another long haul? I'm sure my sister has kept up with your training even over break, am I right, niña?"
Julianna smiled shyly at her aunt and nodded, tucking a stray piece of hair behind her ear. Her aunt smiled at her as she pulled their bags from her car, handing Julianna's directly to her. "I've got to split up with you here, to head to the infirmary, but come visit me soon, Julianna! Have a fantastic year, and keep focused." she said maternally, making Julianna nod eagerly. She could not wait to see the others. She felt almost embarrassed about how much she'd missed them. Especially since that break had been the furthest thing from a break. She'd done almost more dance training than she did at school, since her mother had decided she had nothing better to do, and she was achy and sore after such a long flight. "Yes, ma'am. I love you." she said sweetly to her aunt, gathering her things carefully. Her aunt stopped her, picked a few pieces of lint from her sweater, and let her go. Sweet freedom!
Julianna checked in as quickly and seamlessly as she could, trying to keep out of the big crowds. Some of these people, she did not miss. They were...crude. And they gave her nasty looks when any male offered her a hand with any little thing. As if she were the offender. So childish. "Good to see you again, Ms. Moreno. Keeping sharp in the studio?" a short, muscular man stopped her, grinning like a child. Julianna shrugged, smiling as well. Tyler Carney, one of the dance instructor associates, was probably the friendliest face in the studio here. Everyone else was pinched and bitter, she though. Probably including her.
"I do what I can, sir." she said modestly, shifting her weight with slight impatience. He barked a laugh at this, and shook his head. "We gotta work on that 'sir' business, you make me feel sixty. This will be a long semester if you keep that up, Julianna." he teased, making her laugh nervously. "Well, get going, girl, I can see you want to be somewhere else." he said graciously, making her blush. She hadn't thought she was so obvious about her eagerness. Better tone that down. "Nice to see you, sir." she said quickly, scurrying away as fast as politely possible.
Some other kids, further down the hall, sneered at her. A few other dancers, and some other music kids. They always looked like that, she told herself, but her cheeks reddened in humiliation at their judgmental stares nonetheless. For crying out loud, it was the first day, and they were already acting catty. It was just droll, by now. She hadn't done a thing wrong, he had spoken to her first! It wasn't her fault that they cared more about his shoulders and bum than pointing their stupid toes.
"Hello?" she called quietly as she pushed the door open, key in lock. She shook off the nerves from dealing with less desirable students. This was the part she was excited for. Her friends. She had to fight the giddy smile that wanted to shine, and instead slipped inside. "Ah, Avery, Jasper. It's so good to see you both! How were your breaks?" she closed the door behind her and approached them, still clutching all her bags. They must've unpacked...quickly. Or just not. She had to vote the second one, with mild chagrin. "Rhydian's here too, yes?" she asked his brother curiously, readjusting her grip on her things.

As per usual, Sam had returned two days prior to where majority of the students return, due to the plane that he had to take and the journey that he had to undergo to return to Arlington. It was a ten-hour flight, and with the recent disappearance of one Malaysian plane and the shooting down of another, Sam was actually rather nervous getting on a plane now. Even his parents were worried. "Hopefully nothing goes wrong, dear," his mother last gave him a hug before Sam crossed the boarding counters.
But luckily, nothing bad happened, and Sam had returned to the academy safely.
Hands moving quickly across the working table in the Academy's kitchen, he had sought out his lecturer, Mr Ronald Fernandez for permission to use the kitchen, to which he gladly gave Sam the thumbs up. "Making a welcome home dinner?" he asked, smiling as he knows how much Sam was attached to his dormmates. "Yeah," Sam replied, smiling back. "Had in my mind to make chocolate chip cookies," he added. "I'll save some for you if you'd like?" "That'll be marvelous, thanks," Mr Fernandez said as he handed Sam the key to the kitchen.
The chime from a timer chirped, its clear sound ricochet throughout the empty kitchen-classroom on this fine day. Turning it off, Sam put on a pair of baking mitts and proceeded to bring out the abnormally-sized chocolate chip cookies, each almost the size of a baby plate. A few quick prod and testing one out, and Sam smiled with satisfaction that the cookies are perfect.
Sam left a few extra cookies with his lecturer as a thank you gift, and proceeded to cross the schoolyard to the west wing. Students were beginning to flood the previously quiet and empty Academy, and Sam figured that probably at least two of his dormmates would be back. Jasper and Rhydian are usually the earlier ones, though some times that was not the case. He was excited to be with his friends again, as it had been months not seeing them and with Sam getting used to seeing them almost every day, it was getting rather lonely for the Malaysian teenager.
Returning to his dorm sees not two, but four of his mates have returned. "What a pleasant surprise! I thought only Jasper and Rhydian are back early, but it seems you two are early too, Avery, Julianna," Sam's voice was laced with glee as he set down the container at the pantry table. "I've made cookies, but mind yourselves. It's for everyone, not only the early comers," Sam chuckled as he grabbed a glass of water and leaned backward against the small counter, looking at them all. They haven't changed much, and Sam should not be surprised as it was only a few months. But hey, some people change easily.

New York City was amazing and Veronique was sad but excited to leave it. She was going to miss all the real shopping and clothes she could wear, seriously, wearing a uniform is just so not her style. Plus, it makes it look like she had clones of herself though she was the most prettiest of them all. Flipping her hair as she got out of the airport in the oh so hideous uniform, Veronique winked at the guy who helped her get her luggage. “Thanks sweetheart,” she said as she grabbed the luggage from him. As she got into the cab and was driven to school, she started texting all of her closest friends.
'Ladies, Gents, I’m almost here~
-V’
Her chocolate brown hair was perfectly curled cascading neatly down her shoulders. She had a rhinestone headband crowning her head though she was pretty sure she had to take it off later. Though they were probably used to her donning herself and sometimes, they pretend they don’t see it since dealing with Veronique is probably more trouble than its worth. “Thanks hon,” she said to the cab driver as she generously tipped him. She already did tons of online shopping just to get ready for post fall break. She had so much gifts prepared for her friends that she had no idea what she got them. Her spending habits were getting worse and it wasn’t helping that her parents constantly send her money. As she headed to the mail room, Veronique saw a few newly enrolled males and headed over their direction. How did she know they were new? Well this school does cost a ton of money and she knew everyone’s name and faces. She didn’t recognize them so they were obviously new slaves, ahem, she meant students.
“Boys,” Veronique smiled her most charming one, “would you like to help me carry my things to my dorm?” The guys took once look at her and were quickly willing to do so. “And you know…” she got closer to one of them, one hand slightly touching the guy’s arm, “maybe we can do something later. Just the two of us,” she whispered and turned around. The male looked flushed and nodded quietly as he seemed to be in a daze. ‘Well that was easy,’ Veronique scoffed inside and told them to hold all her deliveries which was not an easy feat considering how much she had. The mail attendant rolled her eyes, not surprised by the scene anymore. As she signaled her slaves to come along, Veronique was thinking of which presents were whose. She probably would just dump a or two box per person since she can’t really remember why she got them in the first place. She heard whisperings among the females, ‘It’s Queen V again. She strikes fast.’ ‘What a slut.’ ‘Can’t believe how mindless the males are’ and zoning them out, Veronique opened the door to her dorm. She had no idea how her friends put up with her but she was grateful they did.
“Boys, leave them in the common room,” she ordered and they quickly did so. She ushered them out and grinned at her friends. “Well, well, well, looking sexier than last time I saw you, eh Jasper,” Veronique blew a kiss at him as she quickly looked around for Rhydian. Being the stricter one of the brothers, he made her on her toes more often possibly because she hated hearing him lecture. She had enough of lectures from professors, why did he have to be a student turned professor too?
“Avery,” Veronique slipped her arm around the girl’s waist, “it’s too bad the guys don’t know what’s underneath here. I swear, they’d be all over you,” she joked. With her in the room, Veronique was sure to greet everyone as she kissed Sam on the cheeks and hugged Julianna. “Sigh,” she said out loud, “how do you guys not have boys fawning over you. One night, I’ll get you girls drunk and we can have one night stands,” she kid. She personally never had a boyfriend but it was fun teasing her friends anyways.
“So where’s Rhydian anyways? He’s always hiding when I’m around, it’s like he’s scared of me.”

Rhydian payed no mind to his brother who was bored with his own laziness, and continued to unpack his belongings. He'd be damned if he was stuck putting these things away later, or attempting to look for something that wasn't put back properly. Jasper on the other hand was glad to be out of the room, and it seemed he was just in time. No sooner had he started to relax did Avery walk into the room. With a grin as the girl greeted him he gave a shrug, "Nah, got in this morning." That was actually kind of long, but Jasper felt he could have been here even earlier. Which would have sucked. So coming in, in the morning was nothing.
Before he could get into conversation with Avery another familiar face came through the door. This one belonging to Julianna. She gave the proper and polite question of how their breaks had been before asking about his brother. Jasper jerked a thumb toward the male dorms before answering, "You know him. Gotta unpack before doing anything." Jasper had to wonder if Julianna would be the same. Sometimes she was so like his brother it was scary. He swore they were made for each other. Except Julianna didn't go around lecturing people nearly as much as Rhydian did.
Once again the conversation became short as more familiar faces poked in. Sam and Veronique. Sam came with food, per usual and Veronique came with teasing compliments, also per usual. As she dismissed her newest slaves and commented on Jasper's look the male smirked, biting his lower lip while placing a hand on his chin and looking the girl up and down. "Mm, the same could be said for you, beautiful." As he pretended to catch her kiss in his hand he gave a chuckle. Again Rhydian was brought up, this time in a very different manner though. Looking back towards the male dorm, Jasper called out loudly, "Rhy, your friends want to see you! Packing can wait can't it?!"
Right on cue, Rhydian emerged shaking his head at his older brother, "You don't have to yell like that." Looking over his friends he gave a smile, "Hey, you guys are a sight for sore eyes." He greeted before joining them completely in the common room. Seemed Samuel had already begun his culinary adventure, starting with some cookies. Veronique appeared to be her normal flirty self with an arm around Avery's waist. And Avery looking as artsy as ever. Then of course there was the ever poised Julianna. The one he got along with the best. "Good to see you Anna. You look as though you've been dancing over break." He mentioned, referring to her toned physique. The girl was always toned, but Rhydian felt he could just tell.
Jasper on the other hand gave a playful groan before looking between the two, "Come ooooon Rhy. Do you really need to flirt with Princess Juju in front of all of us. Gross! Get a room!" His remark was followed by a snicker which was met with a glare from his younger brother. Jasper was always teasing, and what was with that nick name he gave to Julianna... Juju?

There hadn’t been time for Avery to really say anything about Jaspers comment before her friends started to pile into the common room. Apparently she really arrived at the right time. Which was a good thing, not that she even unpacked but no matter she would do it later. In that since her and Jasper were very much the same.
Julianna came in poise and proper as ever. It was odd how Avery and she considered each other close. It made her laugh lightly inside. The girl had a stick up her ass a lot of the time but she always meant well. She danced too which was pretty interesting, “Good to see you to Jules.” Avery said giving her a salute as a greeting before Sam came in with cookies.
Ahh, the cooker of the group. Made her slightly happy she hardly ate back at home. Screw her grandparents cook, Sam’s cooking was where it is at. “I’m going to steal one of those cooks if you people are not going too.” She commented making a dash for the cookie before munching on it as the last of the group came in.
And of course it was Veronique was inside her little man-bitches frolicking to get to her side and drop off her goods before retreating with that look on their face as normal. “Don’t bet on getting me drunk, I can hold my liquor even if I am small.” Avery pouted crossing her arms over her chest, not even fazed by the flirting that was going on around her and between the two uptight people. Avery never understood Rhydian. He was a good guy, she guessed, but he should loosen up and not lecture his friends. Whatever, he was a good guy too. Hard worker and all the better suitor for Jules.

Julianna smiled mildly as Sam entered shortly after her, seeming surprised by the large group gathering. "Hi, Sam." she greeted him warmly, not surprised that the fragrance of freshly baked goods wafted to her nose. He loved cooking. And he wasn't bad. She had to admit, her meals had seemed empty without his unique experimenting for them. Her mother was very careful to follow recipes, as they'd been passed down for generations. But there was something extra special about not knowing exactly how some generic meal might become fresh and lively. Now, however, she simply held up her hands, shaking her head. "Ah, none for me yet, though they smell fantastic. I could really just use a glass of water." she said. She went to the kitchen to follow Sam's lead and get herself a glass, refusing to put her bags down yet, although they were really getting annoying, hanging on her arms. If she set them down, she was giving up. As long as she held them, she was still sort of going to her room as she should, and unpacking.
Before much more could be said, the very last of their group to arrive made her grand entrance. Veronique did nothing subtly, Julianna felt. It was intimidating, in a way, but she liked the confidence that seemed to radiate from the girl. She liked to try and soak up some of that. Veronique dismissed her poor fans and came to greet the group, and Julianna had to shake her head at the way she and Jasper spoke to each other. Still, she smiled when her friend hugged her, pleased they were all reunited. "Ah, ah, I'm not sure that's a good idea." she said, face flushing at Veronique's suggestions. That girl could read a dictionary and make it sound suggestive. "I'm not very fond of alcohol, to be honest...I've only had a handful of glasses of champagne, usually for celebrations, so I'd hardly say..." she said carefully, wringing her hands together. To her immense relief, Jasper shouted for his brother, interuppting that dangerous conversation.
Julianna's face lit up at the sight of her friend. She was very fond of each of them, but Rhydian definitely behaved in a nice, understandable way. Usually with the others, she had to guess what they might do next. "Back at you, Rhydian. Except for the dancing over break part." she said, shrugging. "I suppose I have been hard at work even when I was supposed to relax. What can I say?" she laughed easily, pausing as his brother teased. Princess Juju. It was odd. Her mother would probably faint if she heard her daughter's lovely name made into slang, or the like. It was kind of funny, though, and she fought her grin. "Hey now, you're really one to talk." she teased, raising her brows at Veronique. She wasn't sure if anything Veronique counted as far as "flirting" went, in this group, but she was pretty sure that it was early enough that the joke could slip by. "Anyway, I can't believe how good it feels to be back, and see you all. Emotionally, that is, because physically I feel...achy." she puffed her cheeks out, rolling her shoulders back a few times.

Not long after his appearance in the room, the last of their numbers returned. The most extravagant diva he has ever known had just waltzed into the growing crowd with her minions, carrying her luggage for her like slaves toiling a master's will. "Venice, still as extravagant as ever," Sam replied with a customary kiss to the cheek as she gave him one. Rhydian came out not too long later, greeting the rest of them while Avery dived straight for his cookies. "There's plenty for everyone, help yourself at will, anytime," he just laughed while Julianna came to the pantry for a glass of water as well.
"So, Julie," Sam asked, already using the default nickname for her. He has no idea why people's names have to be so long or hard to remember, or even special, in that most of the time in the early stages he only remembered Julianna as Julianne and Veronique as Veronica. But now, with simpler nicknames, he remembered everyone. Yes, everyone has their own little nickname: Jasper as Casper, Rhydian as simply Rhy, Veronique as Venice, Julianna as Julie, and Avery as Ave. Simplicity itself.
"Seriously? C'mon, Venice, you still haven't forgotten what happened the last time you were wasted, did you?" Sam's eyebrows cringed at that memory of cleaning after Veronique had gotten super-drunk and puked over him as he carried her into her room. "Forget one night stands, chill down on the liquor at least that you don't flood the carpets," he laughed bitterly, remembering how funny she looked with her mumbling nonsense, before she heaved a load of a mixture of booze and, among all things, nachos.

Veronique winked at Jasper as he pretended to catch her kiss. They had a flirty-joking relationship and she likes how it is between them. Turning her attention to the sweet cranky Rhydian who came out, she pushed her luggage handle down signaling to herself that unpacking can wait. “Rhyddie, did you age again? Maybe you should come greet me with sexy smile on your face. Come on Rhyddie bear, you can do it,” Veronique teased as he shook his head at his brother.
Rhydian always had something to say and she swore, every thing he says has a negative undertone in her eyes but he is hot and that’s all that mattered to her anyways. She sighed happily in her head, she loves being surrounded by hunks. It just made her stand out more but of course, she loves the guy no matter how strict he is most of the times. Snickering as Jasper called out on their oh so discrete flirting style, Veronique gasped the moment Julianna joked about Veronique's earlier remark on Jasper’s growing handsomeness. Letting her arm slip away from Avery’s waist, she got closer to Julianna with an approving nod. “Man, my Julie is growing up! Mother is feeling proud. Now we just need Avery to wear a sexy dress and not strangle any guys we meet then we’re good to go.”
As Sam recalled her drunken moment, Veronique gasp dramatically although she thought the situation at that time was pretty funny. “Oh jeez Sam, you’re so not fun,” she grinned back at him cheekily. “Booze and puking is what it’s all about, if you’re not puking, then you’re not drinking enough,” she kid, that was a pretty disgusting memory that she happen to neatly pushed away. “Plus, I’ve cleaned up after you so many times,” Veronique pursed her lips as she tried to think of a time she did so. Having no memory of that sort, she shrugged and waved her hand. “Like all the time,” she exaggerated since she couldn’t remember a particular moment. “And come on Sam, can’t tell me you actually didn’t like the party we were at. While Jasper was hitting up some chick and Rhy-Rhy being you know, Rhy-Rhy, I was totally trying to hook you up. If only you weren’t too busy commenting on how awful the food was, then maybe we could have gotten somewhere with her. I ended up giving her Rhy bear's number hoping something would happen between them,” Veronique replied shaking her head.
“Come on guys, it’s our first night together since like forever. Let’s do something fun tonight unless we’re all going to sit down and do our hair while painting our nails. I’m so totally down for that,” she wiggled her eyebrows at the males knowing they rather be dead than have her mess with their fingers. “Come on Jas, whatta ya say? Avery? I know you like drinking, you drink as if your life depends on it.” She was hoping that if Jasper and Avery said yes, then it’ll urge the rest of the group to agree. The other three were a hit and miss whenever she tried making them do something unless it's cooking, then Sam is always up for it. She reminisced how he used to teach her how to cook. She wasn't sure if it was a nightmare for him or for her since they both ended up getting frustrated. She, at the food, and he was at her.

Seemed everyone wanted to piggy back Jasper's taunts as Veronique so quickly teased that Rhydian looked older and should smile more. That nickname though, she was the only one whom he allowed to use it, and even though he's asked her before not to, she continues to call him by such, so he jus sort of got used to it. So quickly he flashed a smile. Of course it was in sarcastic spite, but he was gladnhe wasn't the only one being teased.
As Julianna rebutted Jasper's teasing with a look at Veronique the male smiled and gave a wink. "Oh, but you know Vera is just too sexy for me to resist." With a chuckle he watched as Veronique had a little realiation of her own before the topic was switched to booze.
With the talk of partying and drinking Rhydian shook his head. Of course he partook in these events from time to time but it was on a much different level. Veronique continued teasing Samuel, though his name was mentioned briefly. He had wondered why some strange girl had been calling him, and now he knew who the culprit was. Retorting to Veronique's request to party Rhydian piped up. "I don't really feel like babysitting anyone tonight..." Jasper quickly interjected, "Oh Rhy, pull that stick from your arse! I'll babysit the women. A wink followed along with a suggestive lick of his lips. Rhydian merely shook his head, "And who will babysit you?"
Jasper turned to Avery pretending this was a life or death situation, "Come on Avey Baby, you gotta team up with Queen Vera to make sure Princess Juju wants to party with us. You know that'll get Rhy to agree!" With that statement Jasper shot a sly look to Rhydian and grinned.
Rhydian shook his head and gave a shrug, "Alright, alright... if it'll get you to shut your idiotic mouth." Truthfully, Rhydian wouldn't mind doing something tonight, afterall it was the last weekend before school was officially in session. Even the teachers were still getting settled so it was good timing too. They would be less likely to get into trouble. Not to mention their Resident Advisor hadn't moved back in yet.
Jasper clapped his hands together before grinning and slinking over to Veronique and Julianna putting an arm around the both of them, looking at Avery. "Make sure you ladies dress real nice for us men." He teased before looking more seriously at Veronique, "What'd you have in mind for partying?"

Munching on the cookie that had snatched up quickly Avery listened to the conversation unfold between everyone. Snickering at Sam’s mention of Veronique’s misadventures with missing the glass bowl. Those had been the days, course she didn’t fully agree with her statement that you had to be puking to be having a good time. No, one or two misadventures herself had lead to getting tipsy most of the time. Other then that she rarely wanted to be the one over the thrown of shame with no one to hold your hair out of your face. Lucky for her she had short hair so it didn’t really bother her.
Watching Veronique, Avery could feel that light sense of jealousy stick it’s green self in the bottom of her ribs. The girl could talk to everyone and anyone and not be bothered. While Avery could most of the time too, when it came something’s she was completely lost. Course; being who she was, Avery would never, ever admit she was wrong. That was against her religion.
“You can cut the puppy eyes Jasper. Course I’ll go clubbing. I am finally legal, bitches so I don’t have to use that fake ID anymore. Or sneak in through the girls bathroom, done that before. In some ways being small really benefits.” Avery joked laughing at the memory that had know gotten stuck in her mind. That was before it was deflated by the image of her in a dress.
“Like hell I am going to wear anything…weird. I already have to wear a skirt once school starts. Nope. Ain’t happening only way it will ever work is if you had to pay me. A lot.” She commented before looking to her friend, Julianna. “You’re going to come right, It’ll be fun. If you don’t I may end up drunk texting you, and we all know I can be pretty obnoxious over text.” she shrugged looking at no one in particular.
“Which club were you thinking of hitting, Veronique?” Avery asked absentmindedly looking to see were her bags had been tossed before all the commotion of catching up had happened. She didn’t want to loose all her crap on the first day. She may have not been planning to unpack yet, but losing it was definetly not on her list of things to do that day.

Julianna turned her nose up at Veronique's teasing, smiling a little. "What, you're proud of me because I made one little remark? Seems a bit overblown." she said snootily, as if she didn't care about this validation. She rolled her eyes at Jasper but didn't bother further the fake argument over flirting within their group. It was sort of easier to be cohesive if they'd ignored feelings like that, they'd all found. At least for each other. And at least in her mind. Taking a relationship up a level was a whole new pile of risks and doubts and she had no clue how anyone could dare to make that leap, especially with a close friend. Maybe the others all disagreed, but for whatever reason, none of the group had dated another, as far as she knew. That surely hadn't stopped crushes and flirting throughout the years, but there'd always been someone else, an outsider to them, for those that DID bother with dating at all. It was on that front that Julianna felt closest to Avery. The girls had bonded, among other things, over their mutual disinterest in dating. Avery because, well, she's Avery, and Julianna because she was a mixture of scared and annoyed by boys.
In any case, as Julianna had wandered off into her thoughts, the discussion had become a serious one, despite her best efforts, about going to party before the year officially started. "Is that such a good idea? I mean, we aren't all legal." she said chidingly, gesturing to herself, Sam, and Rhydian. Of course, of all the people to be too young, the three of them were the easiest to fool with. Julianna was tall, and mature in both looks and behavior, Rhydian was only a bit shorter than his brother and acted like the elder sibling should, and Sam was so mild that no bouncer would worry about someone so reserved and easygoing in a mob of crazed partiers who had too much alcohol.
One by one, they all seemed to agree to go. Julianna's hands fluttered anxiously, not sure what to say or do. Avery turned her pleading eyes on Julianna, and her heart lurched. The girl was joking, but she knew she would be worried about them all night if she wasn't there. "Oh...yes, yes, I'll go. I can't trust you to take care of yourselves." she said finally, feeling a little excited about already doing something that was entirely opposite of what she'd done all break. She smirked at Jasper as he hung over her and Veronique, rolling her eyes at his banter. He and Avery were inquiring about where to go, and Veronique was the obvious person to decide. After some consideration, she decided, and they all broke to unpack or get dressed or both, depending on who it was.
--baby time skip--
Julianna frowned at her reflection, not sure how she felt about going out, now that she was alone and able to think about it. She'd been focused on unpacking for a while, getting everything orderly and clean and cozy, and after she was done, Veronique had stepped up to rifle through her closet and pick a dress for her, because, in her words, "She knew best when it comes to dressing to have fun." Or something like that. They'd reached a comfortable middle ground, pairing a black dress- Veronique's choice- with a deep plum blazer, to keep from looking cheap. Fortunately for Julianna, she was tall enough naturally to not need heels, and in honesty, heels were a no-no for her anyway. She couldn't afford to put any extra strain on her sore feet, so she stuck to flats. Fortunately for her, Avery was also victim to Veronique's "help", and so she wasn't alone in this torment.
Tugging at a strand of loosely arranged hair, Julianna sighed. She wasn't sure this was a good idea, but part of her was dying to go. It was a stressful divide. A large portion of her was panicking over getting caught as underage. She'd be in an awful lot of trouble. But she wouldn't drink, probably, because she was going to keep an eye on the others, and have fun catching up with them. She could handle that.
"Do you think the boys are ready?" she asked the other girls, as satisfied with her appearance as she could be. The girls all paused to apply deodorant and spritz some of Veronique's favorite "man-catching" perfume, give each other once-overs, before they left their room, satisfied.

Sam sighed at the mention of going to a club. Even though Julianna mentioned the use of fake IDs, there's still the chance they could be caught up by flirting guys and girls, all looking for a good time. And with Veronique pulling everyone in like that, it was apparent that either Sam joins or he stays home.
He ain't gonna let everyone have the fun. And besides, it might take all of their efforts to actually even get out alive, considering Veronique's drinking tendencies.
"Fine, I'll go along, but only because someone needed to watch you girls," Sam said, defeated, as the group separated and returned to their rooms to unpack.
----small timeskip----
Pocketing his fake ID into his pocket, Sam waited for the other guys to get changed before leaving the room, himself wearing a white shirt with the topmost button undone, fitted with a loose stripped necktie, and black trousers with matching black leather shoes. Luckily for Sam, he has some form of casual formal wear, and where he came from, that was what he wears to go to clubs.
Entering the living room, Sam could see the girls already dressed and ready to go. "So, everyone has everything they need? Both fake and real IDs?" he asked, his face a mixture of worry and excitement. He had been to clubs in Malaysia on several occasions, and because of the lax of security there, his parents had brought him there for business deals and negotiations before, as well as functions. Here, he had never been to one, except that one time to cart Veronique back.

As everyone started agreeing with the party idea and Jasper asked her what she thought, Avery answered his question and Veronique agreed. “That’s my girl, you know where the party is at,” she winked at the female. She was surprised Rhydian agreed to come along, it must be the magic of Julianna agreeing to it even if he used his brother as the excuse. Veronique grinned at Avery’s question about the club and wrapped her arm around Jasper’s waist. “Only the fanciest one, of course,” she replied knowing that it’s the one that’s possibly the most expensive in London. With Sam coming along, their group was complete again.
“Oh Sammy, I know how much you like to watch girls,” she replied to his remark suggestively though she was sure he had the same look while staring at food. She bet he categorize the girls into fruits. Avery would be an orange or something, rough on the outside but sweet on the inside. As the conversation died down and everyone agreed to get ready to meet later, Veronique headed to her room to unpack and clean up the mess she created in the living room.
—Later tonight—
“Come on Avery, do it!” would be Veronique’s motto for the night as the girl refused most of styles Veronique came up with. Julianna was certainly easier as they finally settled on a nice classy black dress. Those were always in no matter what the occasion was and Veronique was quite proud of herself. “I must certainly say, if you don’t get a guy tonight, my skills are rusty,” she eyed the girl up and down. “You look just absolutely stunning. I think Rhyddie bear would faint at the sight of you,” Veronique joked as Avery finally finished dressing up.
“Alright, let’s get the show on the road!” The girls were perfectly dressed and their hair were done by Veronique herself. She was donning her diamond stud earrings and a sleeveless midnight blue cocktail dress dress with black lace. “The guys should be ready any moment now,” Veronique said tapping her fingers on her other arm. As Sam finally came out along with the other males, she broke out into a grin. “I swear, those uniforms are masking your oozing sexiness,” she said to all of them before reassuring Sam that they all have fake IDs thanks to Jasper. Although Veronique really didn’t need it, she took it anyways since it doesn’t hurt having one. Being the spoiled underage female that she is, Veronique called for a limo since a cab was way too stuffy with all of them inside. When they were all inside, Veronique poured out champagne in the fancy champagne class and held it up for a toast.
“To us and our last year together,” she said before cheering and taking a sip. It felt so good to be home with her friends again. It was odd how she thought being with them is home but to her, it is the one place where she’s accepted and loved. The limo ride was nice with a lot of laughter between stories and craziness until they finally arrived at the club. Of course having the VIP passes, they were able to skip the long line and headed inside with no problems. “Thanks Hunter, text me later,” Veronique air kissed the bouncer before heading in with her friends.
“See guys, we got nothing to worry about as long as Avery doesn’t high knee some dude, we’re good. Sam, don't start telling bartender how to mix his drinks. And Rhyddie bear, try not to help people clean up their mess so hands off. But hands on any girl you want, if you get my drift.” Veronique reminded as they walked to their reserved booth. She swore, the males in this group were such neat freaks. The music was blasting and the dance floor was filled with bodies against one another thus Veronique wanted to bond for a little bit before all the crazy things happen. “So spill the juice guys. Anything crazy that happened over the break? I’m sure Jas has some stories to share with us all.”
