Wrekened: Immortal winged creatures that got their name from the havoc they left behind during their flight. Powerful, power hungry, and vicious, they’re known as the ‘Devils of the Sky’. While not all are innately cruel, most have a lack of compassionate and understanding for others. Although not much is known about them other than the leftover disaster, they’re rather protective and loving to their own kind. They are also loyal to fault and once they find their beloved, they’ll go through hell for them.
Elves: Forest immortals that roam the the terrestrial lands. They’re called by many names. ‘Guardian of the Forest’. ‘Master of Archery’. ‘Earthen Spirit’. And all of these are true. Each elves are born with an innate power and it ranges from being able to understand flowers to being able to manipulate minds. While they’re mainly peaceful creatures, they can become frightening when angered. They’re known for their gracefulness and agreeable personality.
Years of wars finally put to an end. A millennia later, the bitter enemies are still suffering the consequences of their ancestors. A wrekened Prince and a Elven met when the Prince went out to explore, wanting to leave his castle in the sky. She showed him her home, making him promise not to tell a soul. They became fast friends and their friendship lasted for five years. At the tender age of 11, his parents were able to weave into his memory and in turn, killed her parents. When the two met again on the bridge at dawn, she believed he betrayed her and retaliated using her powers of persuasion for the first time.
'Wrekened. Rip out your wings.'
He never recovered, being the only wrekened who couldn't fly properly...fully. Since her powers weren't fully activated, he ripped out half of one wing leaving a trail of blood and anger.
'How dare you betrayed me.'
'No Wrekened. You betrayed me first.'
Friendship turned into enemies and they swore to never see each other again. However, as fate would have it, they attended the same Academy for the Mythical, Auroralist.
Their last year, after doing so well avoiding each other, they were both task as partners.
"Find what means most to the other. This stone will then light up." The professor handed the Wrekened a topaz and the Elf an emerald. "Also, since now you're partners, neither one of you will graduate if one of you fail."
